eu/phoria – A Chair Design Ideas by Paola Navone for eumenes
Designed by Paola Navone for eumenes, eu/phoria is a monocoque chair that comes from the idea of using the Woodstock®, a cheap material that usually used in the automotive industry, which consists of 50% of materials left over from wood and 50% polypropylene.
Spec:
- Customizable. In the molding phase, Woodstock® can be matched with all kinds of fabrics due to its compound produced in thermoformable sheets (extremely flexible and hard wearing).
- The chair’s supporting structure, in painted metal, comes in seven different color options.
- The combination can also be made by matching the supporting frame in the desired color with a covering of the range. Color matching of the chair and support structures looks completely different result each time.
- Eco-friendly. The manufacture of shell uses remaining material from the woodworking.
