X Table – A Coffee or A Dining Table by Ying Wang
Young designer Ying Wang from Germany has designed the X table inspired by an idea that a piece of furniture can be installed and removed without tools or additional tools.
The X table consisting of 10 parts:
- 8 legs
The 8 legs are different in two ways. One serves as a “thigh,” and the other as a “lower leg”.
- A node
The node contains 8 hollow cubes divided in 2 parts, 4 hollow cubes which has a large and 4 hollow cubes has a small square opening. The 8 table legs can sink into the holes of the node and become stabilized.
- A table top
In a temporary situation, such as vacation, X can be used easily and quickly for grilling. X is not only easy to transport, it also can be disassembled easily.
X Table As A Coffee Dining Table
The same structure can be used depending on different needs for different sizes, such as coffee dining table.
