IRIS by Michael Bihain
I recently covered the chair by Michael Bihain that I liked, but I loved this part. It was like an instant classic. Why? First because it was so simple. This is one part of the steel plate or laser cut to shape and bend right into its final form resembles an iris. It is iconic, easy to understand, and perhaps best of all, are stackable. Sure we have seen the easy chairs stacked, so why not a table? Michael Bihain has created a new paradigm, and this is call for design history books. [Via]
