‘Panel’ by Yi-Cong Lu

Today’s lifestyles are individual and varied and push it again and again the limits of conventional flat architecture. In particular, the firm plans and use requirements of our living rooms prove to be not flexible enough: The living room is an instant temporary office, the next lodging for guests.

In this arena, Design Academy Eindhoven graduate Yi-Cong Lu created ‘Panel’, the multifunctional furniture which can be used as a wall divider, a desk or a bulletin board.

This ‘Panel’ (one of the series of multifunctional objects for the home) won acclaim at the 6^th Designers’ Open 2010 in Leipzig.
