Acciaio Series by Max Lipsey

Inspired by the classic racing bicycle, American-born, Netherlands-based designer Max Lipsey has created Acciaio (Italian for ‘steel’). Acciaio is a series of three lightweight steel chairs. The series are a lounge chair, a stool, and a dining chair.

Acciaio chairs are fillet brazed using steel bicycle tubing. The seating is a perforated leather and aluminum sandwich. This combination makes for an exceptionally lightweight and also very strong chair.

Acciaio comes in 16 colors (each color named after a classic bike builder).
