Playful Stool by Måns Salomonsen

Designed by Måns Salomonsen, Playful stool with a moving seating surface is 3-dimensional movement with a 2-dimensional material. Made of plywood, the stool has a mechanism under the seat with two axes that create the movement of the surface. No screws, no glue in its construction. Everything is held together by elastic bands and weights of people who use them. The band makes the surface of the seat bounced back to a horizontal position when not in use. The elastic also makes seeing through the surface that gives the volume of stool and the option to create different looks. What is your style?
