Imeüble by Bjørn Jørund Blikstad
The project is run under the name “Imeüble” and it’s the wall shelving system that access not only your eyes and hand book-store, working with your mind to help you store information in the same way you learned to associate the words to their meanings!
Confused? It’s really simple and beautiful. As you can see on the wall shelves, they looked flat, sloping, odd in some other way for your eyes. In fact, they are simple plastic, shaped in ways that instill an image much stronger than it’s actual simple function. Therefore, the relationship with how to spoken / written words work – the word itself, while fairly simple, what it represents can be very complicated.
In this outstanding work of the association, the designer Bjørn Jørund Blikstad hopes to inspire you to see again what the items on the wall shelves really means.
Designed by Bjørn Jørund Blikstad, a newly educated furniture designer with a masters degree from 2009 from Oslo National Academy of the Arts.
