Stretch Bench by Tak Euy Sung
The Stretch Bench was manufactured by Tak Euy Sung, a designer from Seoul, South Korea and has an education from Hong-ik University in woodworking and furniture design. The Stretch Bench is a canoe-like bench that bent for two directions.
Description from the designer:
This bench is bent for two direction. I stack 17 wood layers and widen only two parts requested to bench. As if spaces we only need are stretched, only two parts we need to sit on the bench widen. The curves of bent wood give us sit area and make stand area itself. As 17 wood layers are bent, it makes beautiful curve naturally.

This bench is so nice. They could easily be used to beautify the landscape of many resorts. Is the lumber treated so it is resistant to rot and decay?
Never really saw the potential in plywood for such beautiful furniture…..nice one.
