Solid Shell by Studio VW+BS
Studio VW+BS has created Solid Shell for design brand Decode London. It is one of the ten benches that will be exhibited by the Lollipop Shoppe for the London Design Festival from the 18th – 28th September 2010, which will showcase the countries best designers.
Solid Shell is a mix of classic materials and contemporary styling that consists of a chair with a solid concrete base and seats made from metal rods that coated with powder.
Called Bench 10, ten designers will each design a bench that will installed around east London Old Spitalfields Market, including TAF Architects, Klauser & Carpenter, Shay Alkalay / Yael Mer, Cecile Manz, Decode London, Felix De Pass, JDS Architects, Michael Marriott/Anthony Burrill, Richard Shed, Freshwest and Offcut Design.
